Popular television actress Drashti Dhami, who recently embraced motherhood, has welcomed the New Year with her little one, sharing her joy on Instagram. The Madhubala star took to her social media handle on Wednesday, January 1, and shared a wholesome video with her daughter, whom she cuddled in a warm hug. With a melodious tune playing in the background, Drashti softly extends her Happy New Year wish to her Instagram family. She also penned a heartwarming note, opening up on entering the New Year as a mother.
“Entering 2025 means saying goodbye to the year I became your MOM. First smile, First blabber, First bath. But this is just the start of making memories. Thank you for choosing me Leela. GRATEFUL. Happy 2025 everyone,” she wrote in her caption.
In the video, Drashti could be seen dressed in a comfy and casual co-ords set while her daughter remains wrapped in a blanket resting in her mother’s arms. Fans instantly took to the comment section and showered love on the mother-daughter duo, also sending Happy New Year wishes to the actress. Drashti’s New Year post wasn’t just limited to the newest member of her family but also her dearest husband, businessman Niraj Khemka. Taking to her stories, Drashti shared an adorable picture with her husband, showing the couple hugging each other.
It is worth mentioning that Drashti Dhami has been quite active on social media, documenting her entire journey from pregnancy to welcoming her daughter in October 2024. Prior to Christmas, the actress shared a cute video to celebrate a special moment as her baby girl turned nine weeks old. In a transition moment, Drashti began by flaunting her heavy baby bump and holding a onesie, which later shifted to show her holding her daughter wearing the same onesie. “9 weeks in VS 9 weeks out. MY LOVE,” she wrote.
On the personal front, Drashti Dhami and Niraj Khemka got married on February 21, 2015, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. After nearly 10 years of their marriage, they announced Drashti’s pregnancy in June last year and welcomed their daughter Leela on October 22. In a video announcement, the couple shared, “Straight From Heaven, Into Our Hearts. A New Life, A Whole New Start. She’s Here.”
