Female Do Plumbers Work

In the past, many people would consider plumbing a “man’s job”, as it is considered dirty, dangerous and requires a lot of manual labor. However, these stereotypes are fading and women plumbers are breaking through the ceiling and proving that they are just as capable as men at their trade. They’re making a difference in the industry, paving the way for more young females to pursue a career in blue-collar work.

We spoke to a few female plumbers, from those just starting out to those with years of experience, to find out what drove them to get into the trade and how they think the industry could improve to encourage more women to join.

A common theme was the encouragement of their family and friends to follow their passion. One woman, Joi Wilson, is a sales manager for a plumbing systems company and has been working with pipes since she was a child. She loves the job and has found that her knowledge of plumbing allows her to talk to clients in a different way, which is important when diagnosing problems or recommending solutions.

Another major motivator was the desire to make a difference in the world, with many women plumbers telling us that they love seeing the difference their work makes in their customers’ lives. One lady plumber mentioned that she often has elderly or widowed customers who feel more comfortable hiring a woman to fix their pipes and appliances. They feel that she will treat their home with care and respect and understand their needs better.

Why Female Do Plumbers Work?

As well as the positive effects that female plumbers have on their customers, there are also benefits for businesses who hire them. They can increase customer satisfaction, and boost team morale by encouraging collaboration between women and men. They can also provide a more diverse range of perspectives to help solve problems that might not have been considered by a male-dominated team, as well as improving the overall quality of their work.

While there are still some challenges facing female plumbers, such as a lack of support networks, training and apprenticeships, the numbers are steadily increasing. This is a great thing, as the more diversity in a profession, the better it is for everyone. We hope that this trend continues and that in 2022, we see a whole lot more female plumbers.
